LIFEMED ALASKA OBSERVER PROGRAM

LifeMed Alaska’s Observer Program is open to hospital personnel, EMS providers, physicians and mid-level providers interested in learning more about air medicine and rapid transportation of critically ill or injured persons. Participants will shadow LifeMed teams throught their day, both transporting patients by helicopter and airplane from all corners of the state and performing routine daily tasks during downtime.

 

Observers must be at least 18 years old, weigh 200 pounds or less, and be in good physical health. Observers are scheduled as space and program requirements allow.

Ride alongs are accomodated as operational and training needs for LifeMed staff allow. Flight shifts begin at 7 or 8am, and you may join us for up to 16 hours. Choose a base.
