LifeMed Education Requirements

Pre-Hire Requirements

In addition to previous experience, all flight crews are required to maintain:
 • ACLS
 • BLS
 • NRP
 • PALS

Orientation of New Staff

LifeMed requires an extensive orientation program, including didactic and clinical time. Areas of focus include OR, Pediatric ICU, Neonatal ICU, Adult Critical Care and Maternal Health.

Annual Training of Flight Crews

LifeMed Alaska is committed to continually developing and improving the knowledge and experience of our flight crews. Annual training requirements include:
 • Clinical time in OB, NICU, Adult Critical Care, and Maternal Health
 • Safety and Survival Training
 • Invasive Skills Labs
 • Classroom Education
