LifeMed Alaska contracts with Air Methods Corporation for rotary wing services, which include pilots and mechanics. The company is the nation’s largest provider of air medical emergency transport services and systems and has built its reputation on a commitment to quality patient care and safety in aviation operations since 1980. Air Methods is headquartered in Englewood, Colorado and has operations from Alaska to Key West. Currently, the company has 300 bases of operations that serve 48 states. They operate eight maintenance centers of excellence throughout the nation and a national communications center
Fixed Wing Services
LifeMed Alaska contracts with Aero Air, LLC for our fixed wing services operating out of Anchorage and Fairbanks, which include pilots and mechanics. Aero Air is based in Hillsboro, Oregon and provides air charter service to more than 4,000 airports throughout the continental U.S., Alaska and Hawaii.
For our fixed wing services operating out of Bethel, we contract with Grant Aviation. As an Alaskan-owned and operated airline and an Alaska air taxi, Grant Aviation has been transporting passengers all over Alaska since 1971. Today, they serve more than 50 communities from eight bases throughout the state
